Deacon Jodi Moscona was born in New Orleans and attended Catholic schools. He graduated from St. Rose de Lima Elementary School and Brother Martin High School. He holds a BA degree in Political Science from the University of New Orleans and a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law. Additionally, he holds a Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Notre Dame Seminary College in New Orleans. He also holds a certificate from the Religious Studies Institute and a Diaconate Certificate from St. Joseph’s Seminary College at St. Benedict, Louisiana.

Jodi practiced law full time for over 32 years, and upon retiring from the Louisiana Attorney General’s office last year became the Business Manager of St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church is Gonzales where is also assigned as the Deacon Associate. He owns Moscona Enterprises part of an international internet distribution network of companies.

Deacon Jodi and his wife Darlene have two sons and a daughter. Brian, a graduate of the University of Notre Dame is the Principal of St. Thomas More Catholic School of Baton Rouge and Matthew, a graduate of the Manship School of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University is a radio personality in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Their daughter, Alicia is a graduate of LSU and lives in Kansas City, KS with her husband and children. They have seven grandchildren, four boys and three girls.
Deacon Jodi is the author of “Becoming a Deacon” and co-author of “Journeying on Holy Ground”. Deacon Jodi was part of the original morning show on Catholic Community Radio and now hosts the television program, “Catholic Life” on Catholic Life Television in Baton Rouge. He has delivered retreats throughout Louisiana. He has also authored many articles has taught classes at all levels. He is regularly invited as a guest speaker and lecturer.
